Vortex Sparc AR question

Anyone familiar with them? I received one today and I'm thinking it has a flaw. Inside there is something partially blocking the view from 3 o'clock to 6 o'clock. Shine a light in there and it looks like a glob of glue or melted plastic. Even a $70 red dot doesn't have that. Either way I'm sending it back either for exchange or refund.

I have a Sparc and mine doesn't have anything like that obscuring the sight picture.

I'm told that's the LED. If you return in you'll get one exactly the same.

I looked at one in a shop the other day and I didn't see that.

It's the diode emitter

Its where the led red dot is produced from. They all have that on the sparc AR.

That looks a bit sloppy from what I've seen from other vortex stuff but they will all have something similar.
