Wife wants me to take her to Panama City, She’ll be busy doing her Jehovah Witness stuff. I’ve never been there. Any nice guns stores to visit? Any attractions? Any nice places for lunch? Thanks
I’m originally from there but left many years ago and haven’t kept up.
I used to go over every few months to see Mom and would stop by a pawn shop on 23rd Street not far from the college.
There’s also a pawn shop at the corner of DeGama Ave & Hwy 98. I think the name is Alamo in a funky looking building that used to be a Whataburger.
Is C&G Sporting Goods on Harrison still around? I bought my first new handgun from them in 1975 - S&W K-22.
You don’t say where you are coming from. Avoid the beach area unless you like sitting in traffic.
I send technicians down there weekly. All of them have reported that everything is packed being summer break so you'll have to be patient with the restaurants
I don't know if its still there or not, but the Cow Pot on 98 before you go through Tyndall AFB had good Thai food. If you have CAC ID both the NCO club and Yacht Club had very good food!
The main shops I visit are Gun Depot, Bay Guns & Gear, Jay's (also has indoor pistol range), and Black Sheep Armory. Gun Depot is my first choice but I usually visit the others if I'm there and have time to kill.
Pepper's Mexican Grill is pretty good if you like Mexican.
