The Meopta scopes unless you get their upper end do not handle stray light worth a damn , which means sunshade &/or an ARD are mandatory . We've sent back 2 Optika 6's & a bunch of Optika 5's . We did buy 2 of the Trijicon Ten Mile 6-24X50 , model # 300005 . Ranging type mil-rad recticle illuminated ( just a very small center of cross ) , 30mm tube , adjustments are .1 mrad per click , side adjustable parallax , low capped turrets , no zero stops . Great glass & currently on sale @ Eurooptics .com for $ 850 w/ free shipping . Comes with sunshade & tenabrex lens covers included , which most others charge an additional $ 150 . IMHO an outstanding buy for a mid-range scope . Might be more than what you're use to , but not over the top . I'm in my mid 70's & find them relatively straight foward . If you want a fine crosshair recticle with or w/o target dot & most come with 1/8 moa adjustments & higher magnification puts you in dedicated target scopes . For decent glass with such features we're talking Nightforce BR / Comp , Vortex Golden Eagle , Leupold BR / Comp , Sightron S III & waaay on up there for pro level . F class guys are using $3-5K March , USO , Tangent Theta . You need to get behind some guns / scopes & see what works for you .

If you are just shooting 300 yards, I'd look into something like this here Vortex Venom. I've had excellent products from Vortex and their customer service is the best around and they have a lifetime no questions asked warranty.
