    9 days to go on the auction, but fairly reasonable "buy it now" price;

    I'd be very careful with Pioneer rifles - cast trunnions, shoddy building practices and misleading marketing (made in Radom, Poland - except not in the famous and widely respected Fabryka Broni factory which is also in Radom). WASR still remains the king of "budget" AKs... only they're pushing $1k now. WBPs are only a couple hundred more and they're beautifully finished.

    As long as the front trunnion is forged - cast is fine for rear trunnions. Unless Cugir changed something, as far as I know they've always had / still have forged fronts. Century was also building their own Dracos for a while out of their bad parts - always check for the Cugir stamps if you're looking at those.

    I've always been of the opinion that I will always spend more on ammo than the purchase price of the firearm itself. So in this case with AK ammo being cheaper than 5.56, the price of the firearm is even less important.
