Yep Pat, it's a squeeze to ingress and egress but really not much different than your Z/28, and quite comfy once in. I'd rather be sitting up a little straighter but there's not enough headroom with the top on so I have to lay the seat back a bit.

This one a late 80's with a TPI motor? It doesn't quite look like an early to mid 90's with the LT1, but I'm no vette expert. If it's the TPI, those things are a blast when you start to mod them and open them up and the L98 heads are quite capable of supporting some decent power (depending on what your definition of "decent" is of course). Very Purdy, btw.

It's an 89 L98 TPI w/700r4. Even with an underwhelming 245hp I can't imagine how you could use more. I certainly don't need it. I didn't even floor it and it pinned me back with tremendous G force. Much more pedal and it would probably want to swap ends.

It's a 25 year old car and does need some TLC but compared to the Camaros I looked at in that price range it's a gem.

Thanks for the thumbs up guys, really appreciate it.

Sounds like fun Urb, I love driving this thing around. No need to haul ass, just normal driving is a real treat. I don't speed, but I do like to get to the speed limit as quickly as possible in it. Send me some info on what ya'll do, I might like to watch.

Considering I've owned/driven nothing but Ford trucks for the last 31 years this little sports car is quite a change.

BTW, if you've never changed spark plugs in a Corvette, it's better than Viagra !!!!!

it's not the, underrated, 245hp that'll do it, it's the nearly 350 lb/ft of torque! those long runners on l98 intake make it a torque monster and swapping ends or doing big smokey burnouts will be a cinch. I had one in a 91 z28 that I put a t56 and 3.73 rear end in, and 1st gear was about useless once it got over 3000rpm in spirited driving on street tires. That thing well sure be fun!!

Yep, once you hit about 65-70 you can tell it's just coming into it's power curve and ready to go on to town. But I'm a chicken and let off at 75.

Thanks for the info, like I said, I'm a Ford guy and don't know diddley about these Chevys.

Oh yea, it has a 2:59 gear so it's not going to jump off the line like a dragster anyway.
