My tax guy screwed up and filed me as a single man even though I’ve been married 30 years and he’s always done our taxes. We had to file an amended tax return and that is where the headache starts.
After 2 1/2 hours on the phone with IRS still no satisfaction as to why I received a stimulus payment but my wife did not
For some reason they’re showing her at a different address even though we have lived here for 28.5 years and file jointly when we have to file. I was told to get a form 8822 change of address form but you need the address that we don’t know because she didn’t live there to complete the form. To top it off there are no IRS offices open that she could find in the state of Florida

Pensacola IRS office on 9th AVE will open tomorrow. I would go check there. May need an appointment but its a start

My Son got a mysterious deposit into his account. Turns out his ex-wife's entire Stimulus Check was docked and sent to my Son because she hasn't paid a cent of Court Ordered Child support ever (8+ years).

We thought my wife had gotten hers when there was $1200 deposited into our bank account. When the she called the bank it was back child support they had been deposited.

So just found out the IRS employees are in the office. But its not open to the public today. Trying to save yall a trip. I dont know about monday yet. Will post if I find out

Edit: It seems the employees were scheduled to be there and the office was to be open to the public. But.... Im hearing the employees probably called out sick and the guard was sent home without the office opening

I think the linage of the Democratic Party to slavery, racial oppression and segregation is somewhat familiar to many people. In this current period of cancel culture and the dems adding to it, its great to see it thrown back in the dems face.
