Up for sale is my used Springfield Armory 1911 Champion Operator Lightweight. First off, I'm not going to pretend like this gun is lightly used and in near perfect condition, but the overall function of this pistol is great. This pistol has been discontinued from Springfield, and I haven't found one anywhere else online so if you’ve had your eye on a Champion Operator then this is your pistol. It is a workhorse. It shoots great. The finish does have a good bit of wear and spots where it has rubbed as I carried this gun daily for years. It does not however, have any rust. The barrel is a 4” match grade, and has great life left as you can see in the pictures. I did replace the recoil system in it with an Evolution Gun Works Full length guide rod and spring (very few rounds on it). Extra ISMI #22 spring included. The factory guide rod is garbage in my opinion. I added a Wilson Combat flared magwell (still like new). The Trijicon night sights still have good life in them. It comes with the original case and papers, 4 factory 7 round blued mags, 2 Wilson Combat 8 round mags, 4 Chip McCormick 10 round Power Plus mags (these are the rounded followers specifically designed for the aluminum frame), 1 Promag 8 round mag. Comes with a wrap around Hogue grip that I have used for years. The grips on the pistol in the pictures have never been used, and these are the factory grips. The grip screws have been changed to Hogue flatheads, but the factory screws are included if you want to put it back to stock. I’m not interested in trades as I’d like the cash for another purchase. CCW holder preferred but not required.
