springfield 1911 operator

Everything I've heard about them has been positive. I sure hope so as I am picking up a MC operator this week. Ar15.com has a few threads about them and all seem pleased with them

There was one up in Jackson at Pine City Gun and Pawn but I forget what the price was.. I do remember thinking that Springfield was proud of em though.

They usually are I have found the non trp operators for about 350 more than they should be

I have been wanting to get a TRP operator, awesome guns. The checkering on the front strap is really aggressive, I think 20 LPI, I did my springfield in 20 LPI and its definitely not nice to your hands for a lot of shooting, but it does grab like crazy. That's the only remotely negative thing that I have read about them.

If talking about the regular operators, I haven't heard any issues, I've had my eye on the champion lightweight operator too for a while...

Most folks that have them aren't letting them go. I have a Springfield Pro and have to say it's one of the best 1911s I've ever shot.
