How much rattle can paint do you think I need to paint my Isuzu Trooper? Have hunted three years off of it now and tired of seeing it red. Only vehicle I’ve ever painted was my Suzuki Samurai that I had before getting this trooper.

Not sure, but I met a member that had sprayed an FJ with bed liner. Mentioned to my nephew who was going to rattle can his old Ford F-150 again. He is now going to spray it with bed liner.

Bound to be more durable than rattle can paint.

Never thought of using bed liner but I hate black, can you get it in different colors?

Take it to an actual Rhino Liner shop and you can choose your color and get pro-level results that will raise your truck's value

Don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a paint scheme, I generally don’t keep my hunting vehicles but 3 or 4 years , although this Trooper might stay a little longer, uses no oil, still has cold AC, manual transmission, 4x4 will dig and crawl and go anywhere about like a goat. V-6 not bad on gas either. Not bad for a 1995 model

They sure don't make them like they used to, that's for sure. The only new light truck on the market nowadays that uses a solid front axle is the Jeep Gladiator

If you like manual transmission you might want to keep the Trooper. I read something yesterday that said from now on no one will be making anything but automatic transmission vehicles !

    Milton/ Allentown line…
Go to harbor freight and get you a $35 electric paint sprayer, they would spray maple syrup I believe… then go to tractor supply and buy the tractor paint $44 a gallon they have all colors. Use the gallon to lay down your base then buy a couple quarts of a different color for your pattern. That is some good cheap hard curing paint. That’s what I’d do… then throw the sprayer away…

I saw a trooper painted with bed liner once. I wouldn't do it myself, but then I'm not a fan of camo vehicles either.

One of my favorite vehicles was an 84 Trooper II, 2 door. If I found a 4 door in that vintage or an old 4 door Sidekick in decent shape, I'd have to give it serious thought.

I had a Suzuki Sidekick before I bought this Trooper, hunted off if it for 3 seasons. One of my hunting buddies was wanting it and after I found the Trooper then I sold it to him. Nothing but great things to say about the Sidekick, liked it way better than the Samurai. Only problem I ever had with the Sidekick was I got stuck on a clay chalky hill and it wouldn’t pull, discovered the automatic locking hubs had stripped on one side so I put manual locking hubs on it then, my buddy still has it and has since lifted it and put bigger tires on and camo painted it. Here’s a picture of it while it was mine, I put a winch on front of it and it was unstoppable. Kind of wish I had kept it but wanted the Trooper for more room and the manual tranny. I keep lots of hunting stuff, recovery gear, etc in the suv vehicles, better suited for me than a truck

Nothing wrong with hunting off a truck, I’ve did it for many years but got away from using a truck with a Jeep CJ5, then a Jeep TJ, then I moved in to a Ford Bronco, then got another Jeep TJ, then comes along a Suzuki Samurai, Suzuki Sidekick and now the Isuzu Trooper. And through the years I hunted off of 2 Dodge Power Wagons, a Toyota Tacoma, an extended cab 4x4 F150 and numerous other trucks. I just like having the room for extra clothes, back packs, tools, chains, and anything I think I might need, lol

I can’t remember the company, but I was looking at bed liner paint a few months ago for my truck and ran across a company that sold all types of colors. The kits came with the spray gun and paint as well

Raptor liner is 2 part, comes in different colors. It can be sprayed rough with a undercoat gun or orange peel with a spray gun. They even sell a 2 part spray can.

I have an unused can of white Raptor 2K urethane spray that I bought to re-do my trolling motor but didn't need it. It's a bed-liner coating.

$35, plus tax on Amazon. $20 if someone could use it. PM

    Sorry for the hijack, OP
