Like title says. The bolt is timed to the action. Action is not trued. It has a .308 bolt face. There is rust on the bolt handle. It either needs to be sand blasted or cerakoted. It is not pitted.

I would like $650 for it. I can drive as far south as Tampa, far north as Georgia border, or far west as Vernon.

I would really like to trade for a barreled action rem 700 5R gen 1 or Gen 2 in .308 or a barreled action bergara HMR in .308. IMG_2344.jpeg IMG_2343.jpeg IMG_2341.jpeg

what does timed to the action mean if it hasn't been trued? Does that trigger come with it? Is there bottom metal?
What is the letter code in front of the numbers on the action?

I thought timing had to do with extraction and shear engagement?

Yes to trigger, no bottom metal

    RR704

The action face and receiver threads are not trued

    Thanks for the reply!
I thought the only real reason for changing the timing a 700 bolt was if when you changed the surface of the lugs in the receiver and were no longer getting proper pre-extraction.
Is it a Special or Primary trigger?

If that’s the case then no, it hasn’t, the receiver is untouched, the bolt was dropped in and just made sure extraction and ejection was good and that it fired when trigger was pulled. The rifle it was on was a prefit with a remage nut.

The trigger is a TT special with the blade trigger
