Barrel is interchangeable. I believe 2 to 10" is offered.

Mine is a 15-2 1982 vintage. As good a trigger as my Colt Diamondback...maybe a bit better!

I have this with a 8" ported barrel and it's got the best trigger out of S&W/colt/etc... If I had the funds right now I'll grab this in a second. Barrels and shrouds can get pricy on the secondary market, but there is a company that makes them, although I wouldn't say they are cheap.
