Have a Stevens Model 94 (series P) 20 gauge - took it to the range and its not firing.

I'm assuming there isn't a safety of some sort on these, I can push the firing pin around - but if I cock the hammer and let it down it doesn't move/touch the firing pin. I've read about a "transfer Bar" or "striker Plate" But does mine have one of those? I couldn't find one online for it. Anyone familiar with these, I caller around the Milton area and wasn't really able to get anything from the shops - Pensacola is an option I guess.
