Not a bad idea. It is tight on my Rock river tube, so I'm good. But David down at TGD was the Kak buffer tube, with the built in spacer. But if you already have a tube than the pvc would be good
I have the buffer tube from tgd I could shoulder no problem I'm 6'2" It fit my 5'2" wife perfect she loved shooting it yesterday. Only 22 but shoots great!
Thanks Gene, so yours could have gone on the tube further? how much of the rear has no tube in it? When placed like that some calibers can walk the brace forward during recoil and shorten the LOP, I know w a .22 that is doubtful but w my 6.8 it may thus a spacer on the tube.
My latest project is using the KAK tube and Sig brace. I might need to use the KAK extensions, but I'm not sure yet. I will definitely need a "shoulder" for the brace to seat against so it doesn't work its way toward the receiver.
yeah I am not sure if KAK will work on my phase 5 tube..all you have to do is cut a piece of PVC to length and put it in front of the brace to block its forward movement. Before buying the sleeves I would need to try them if someone is not using theirs I would buy them if they fit.
Sorry Frank Tenn jeep already answered! Kak tube way to go! No jury rigging! Did have to use some baby powder on the tube to get it on a real snug fit.
Gene, have not got mine but already have a tube installed, no reason to buy another or their overpriced spacers. A $.50 spacer will not jerry rig but do the same as KAK..anyway will let ya'll know and post a pic after I decide.
