Hk g36 is possible to buy?

Really old post of yours, but I read it when this thread came back alive.

Tommybuilt has been building G36's using SL8 conversions. Apparently it's not an easy conversion so it commands a high price but from all the reviews from the people that get a hold of them, they're very well built.

Not that it's illegal, but H&K, don't allow the export for their "military" weapons. They never exported G36's for civilian use. Not even the kits. The closest thing you can get is the Tommybuilt one.

I stand corrected. Parts kits are available from HK but in very little number. They don't export receivers. Tommybuilt makes their own G36 receivers and builds them on G36 kits. The only difference is the US made Tommybuilt receiver. Either way, you can build the kit yourself or buy the weapon directly from Tommybuilt, but regardless, you're gonna have to buy a Tommybuilt receiver or have them convert an SL8 one.

TLDR; no difference, even though this is the only one you can get ahold of anyways.
