I picked up my pair of Sigs from David at TGD and they look pretty sweet. I haven't shot them yet but we are excited to. I showed the wife and she said she wanted one too so I ordered two! I can't wait to get the extra barrels and bolts.

And this shows it is shorter than an AR pistol.

Give TGD a call if you are looking for one. I tried to find one at 4 other places and they all said to wait 4-6 months. He had mine in two days great price to boot.

I don't have a frame of reference. The hand guards are super light. It won't be from end heavy when I SBR it! Ha ha ha

David's good people, helped me out on numerous occasions with things I needed (and wanted :thumb:).

Interesting looking rifle... can't figure out if I like that handguard setup or not. I'm sure it'll be a sweet shooter, Sig has a hard time doing things wrong.

Hand guard has three options. Carbon fiber hand guard with rails, aluminum with rails and the one I got which accepts magpul rail adapters ( TGD has them for like 8 bucks )

The 556XI is a modular concept weapon. The serial is on the upper receiver, not the lower receiver. Lower receivers can be swapped to match desired caliber and magazine type. Swapping the bolt and barrel, along with the lower receiver, to the desired magazine type enable the shooter to change caliber from 5.56 to 7.62x39 or .300 Blackout.

The 556XI Russian is a 7.62x39 with the lower for AK 47 magazines. Barrels are easily swapped (once available) to suite the shooters desires and needs of the day. Gonna get one!

XIs are the new modular concept. The Upper is the registered part ( not the lower as in the AR) and the barrel is swappable in the field. Lower can be swapped for a "AK mag" capable one. X39, 5.56, and .300BLK are the planned calibers. All 556 rifles will follow this concept going forward. All current 556 uppers will fit the lower ( according to Sig when I talked to them last Monday)
