SAW magazines with 200rd belts of M855 ball for $70 -- or $350 per 1000 rds

I stopped by the CMP store in Anniston today... New item in stock - SAW magazines with 200 rd belts of Lake City 5.56 M855 ball with an M856 racer every 5th rd for $70.

Some will want these as a novelty - others will de-link the ammo to shoot. That works out to $350 per 1000 rds.

The mag comes in a cloth pouch/bandoleer & 4 mags in a steel ammo can.

No sure if it's on their website -- but they will ship it to your door.

I walked out with 1000 rds... Now, if only I owned an M249 SAW...

If I had a lot of money and a DIAS one of those Aries uppers would be mine, along with a bunch of that saw ammo, that would generate some smiles on the range.

You can get a transferable DIAS for about 7500.00 and a 6 month wait these days..

I thought they were more... the last I looked you would spend close to that for a lightning link. But then again I make it a point to stay off of the subguns and sturmgewehr nfa for sale sections so my info is out of date

Thanks for getting me back browsing the NFA board Matt..... Didn't see any RDIAS listed, but it looks like they are going for 12-15k :jaw: There is a guy offering to buy a lightning link for 9k. The prices just keep going up.

They are tempting... I saw a used one on gunbroker - but at $3800, I think I'd rather set up a few more AR-15s an just de-link the ammo...

The SHRIKE is a lot of fun with the auto sear in. If you can still find one the Tommy15 that uses Suommi 9mm drums is fun to shoot also. Happy shooting to all and don't forget Dec 21, 2012 is the end of the world as we know it.
