Savage Striker .308 pistol

I picked this up today in a trade. I bought a box of ammo from Wal-Mart, as well as a bipod. I had a chance to put three rounds through it just to test it. The recoil was not as bad as I thought it would be. Comparable to a 44 mag. Anyone have any experience with these?
