Safety Officer and Security Officer are different things. This is strictly to become a Safety Officer (person who runs the timer and watches the shooter for any safety infractions during a course of fire) for IDPA matches.
IDPA, is an acronym for International Defensive Pistol Association. It is a competition replicating supposed every day situations where you may need to defend yourself using a firearm. Check out their website www.idpa.com.
Levi3 you are confirmed. All SO candidates already committed, the link to the online SO test was sent to you and you should have it by now. Go to http://www.idpa.com/misc if you haven't gotten it. The password is "safety" (lower case I believe, and the instructor's name is Wayne Ramsey). Make sure you complete the online test in the time allotted. You can start and stop taking the open book test. If you don't have a copy of the rules which would have been sent to you from IDPA hq when you signed up, you can download it from the IDPA home page at the bottom right. You MUST BRING your Satisfactory completion certificate with you to the class following the match on the 22nd. An email of this info is also being sent to you.
As you know the SO class has been rescheduled to Nov.* 19th from 900am to about 100pm.** Lunch and drinks will be provided.* How do you feel about Pizza Hut pizzas?

Once you have completed your Safety officer online test, please forward a copy of your certificate to the instructor Wayne Ramsey.* If you are unable to send it to him, make sure you bring a copy of it with you to class.* I will give you further updates as they become available.*
