A revolver is alot more forgiving than a 1911.
The biggest mistake folks make is rounding off edges that are designed to be sharp. The second biggest is removing material, changing the dimensions( and ruining) the part.

I'm sure it's like anything else, a fine line between perfection and completely ruining it.

well, once you find out what's ruint, you can stay far away it,,,,lol Story of my life. I have a ruint Bar-sto barrel( actually, I gave that to 1911Junky for a 1911 build, so he saved it,,lol) and various ruint sears in my stash..

HAHAHAHA....I hope it got a decent burial( that was a $150 barrel)...lol That's the difference between a file and a stone. That was the very first barrel I tried to fit to a slide......lol

Went out to oneshot's place this morning and let him work on a revolver.

Great work from a great guy. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yep. Ole Oneshot is one of the Good Guys. He and I have been buds for over 40 years. (Dang, I'm gettin' old.)

JL, he spoke of you. The more we talked, the smaller the world got. Seems like we have been running with a lot of the same people over the years.

I really learned a lot and enjoyed my time hanging out and talking with him.
