On RugerForum.com there is a lot of discussion about how Ruger is slipping in the quality control department. Fit and finish it not what it used to be. I am a Ruger fan, and own ten Ruger's myself. It hurts to say that, but it is true.

well this is the second pistol I've aquired over the past year that has a recall...this sucks! PITA! Walther CCP and now my Ruger. Not sure I'm gonna do anything with the Ruger as the issue is a non issue to me but I do need to get the Walther fixed

Only problem could be when it comes the time that you might want to sell or trade the weapon. The prospective buyer could want to know if the recall has been performed.
I am sitting on two firearms now that I have not sent in for the recall. To me . . . the guns are safe and fully functional. I do not/will not ever loan them to someone or have grandkids using them. They shoot excellent now and I do not want anyone messing with them just to satisfy the manufacturers lawyers. --- SAWMAN
