I'm interested in getting into doing a little revolver gunsmithing. I want to learn how to "debur" and fluff and buff" and also some spring changes. Not wanting to do anything serious, just get into general tune up stuff, maybe Bob a hammer or 2. I manly own smith and wessons, but would want to start tinkering with some old rossis I have probably. So my question is, where do I start? Is it worth buying a DVD, or would I be better served buying an old timer a 12 pack and soaking in everything? Also, can anyone recommend some general tools to get me started? Again, not looking at starting a career, or even doing any side work, just want to tinker around with some of my own stuff. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
