Replacement foam for rifle case?

Just picked up one of these http://www.amazon.com/Plano-Double-...pebp=1447218340097&perid=0GQ7PMW69B2H2A9ZE7XC on the cheap. It has the pluck foam and the previous owner had it set up the way he wanted it. Needless to say it doesnt work with what I want to do with it. Anyone ever order any generic replacement foam for their gun case? I'd like some pretty thick sturdy stuff, not the the egg crate kind and I hate the pluck foam. Just lookin for the flat, thick stuff. Pre cut or cut to order is fine by me. What say you?

I've bought sheets at hobby craft stores. They have some dense stuff for seat or sofa cushions. There ase also less dense mattress pads 2in. Only prob is its white or cream color. You can buy blocks and gue them as needed too. I did find stock replacement plano foam on the net multiple vendors plus ebay. I'm sure there are compression standards for that stuff some where.

Cutting is fast easy with an electric carving knife. No jagged start/stop edge marks like scissors or razor knife leave.

I have no clue if they'd have what you need, but you could try Grant's Foam and Fabric on W St.

they have the good stuff at Jo-anns fabrics but it aint cheap . all different sizes and thicknesses.

might try Pioneer Foam Plastics on n. palafox. they've got all kinds of stuff.

Why the hell is foam so expensive? ? It's ridiculous I might as well by a new case!

Try ebay. It may take a month to come from China, but it will probably be the cheapest way to go.

I believe the foam is made from a petroleum derivative and once the prices rose, they were unlikely to come down like gasoline prices.
