Listing this for a buddy. Remington 700 tactical chambered in 308. It's brand new never been fired. Also includes a set of factory remington rings that are new as well. Located in Pensacola $650 cash or $700 trade

Yes it's the SPS tactical. The gun is in "as new" condition but unfortunately he threw the box and manual away. I've just recently got him to start keeping that stuff. He bought it from Styx River about a year and a half ago on impulse, put it in the safe, and never used it. I'm not sure if that's the Remington number or not but I believe it is, I'm pretty sure this gun has the adjustable trigger.

It also has a set a new factory remington rings that will go with it was as well, and I lowered the price in the original post!

I MUST resist !!! The REM 700 action in .308 is in my opinion the perfect long range shooter. Add a 165 or168 gr. Match round it will be spot on to 800 yards in competent hands. Coincidentally the USMC happens to agree with me

Yeah, length of the barrel, and I believe it has a heavier barrel. I can't wait to take mine out.

Shortened barrel to make it more portable, RH 1:12 rifling to stabilize the standard military projectile weight. Pretty much purpose built to shoot the Lake City match loading issued to military and police marksmen....essentially a shortened, lighter M40A2 with a affordable price tag.
