After having purchased and returning two red dot scope mounts, I'm turning to this group for help. The intellectual firepower available here is considerable and I believe I can tap the vast trove of knowledge contained herein for a solution. Can folks please recommend a good quality red Dot Scope?

What's your price range? At or around $500? What magn. do you need?

Aimpoint but if you're on a budget the Vortex Sparc AR is a good start.

Also, if a true red dot is hard to see correctly due to astigmatism, a good prism scope is the vortex spitfire in 1x or 3x. The reticle is etched so if the battery goes you still have a sight.
