Came across this guys blog a while back. He was a Navy Corpsmen that spent some time in the sand with Marine Units. He is a gun rights advocate but seems pretty rational and doesn't spew a bunch of macho big ego crap. Interesting that he mentioned infowars because a few people I know watch that stuff everyday and I think they spew propaganda just as well as the mother jones and other liberal sites. If this guy's facts are correct then infowars is just as guilty of bending the truth and outright fabrication as the lefty wingnuts.
Of course I'm sure Alex Jones would say this guy is a plant and part of the NWO conspiracy to. None of us like Obama and his big government ideals but I think it may be time to cool the rhetoric a bit and try to get things back to normal. The possibility of terrorist attacks on our homeland is still a very real possibility and the DHS is there to fight and prevent it. It wasn't created under Obama and everyone there is not some brainwashed Obama disciple. We are never going to get reasonably priced ammo back if everyone thinks they have to hoard it up at any cost to fight some mythical government takeover of the people. They don't have the resources to pull it off even it was some secret goal and did in fact have the 1.5 billion rounds and 2000+ armored vehicles. We see how creative the goat herders in Afganinstan are in their methods of resistance. I can only imagine what much smarter Americans with far greater resources could come up with.
Col. Dave Grossmen has a theory that the terrorist will not attack us here again until we are completely off their soil. He says it's their sacred duty to devote all resources to driving the infidels out and they will try to hit us hard at home once again. Just like they did the USSR shortly after they withdrew completely from Afghanistan. They promised Russia they would go after their children and made good on it on in the Beslan attack. If you don't know what that is just Google it. It makes Sandy Hook look tame and if it happens here life as we know it will change forever. We have an enemy that explicitly stated they owe us 2 million dead children. I believe the vast of majority of men and women in the DHS are patriotic Americans willing to put their lives on the line to prevent something like this.
Has is not occurred to some folks that the Alex Jones and those like him profits quite well when they keep people riled up and coming back for more everyday? Rational discussion of FACTS doesn't lend itself well to good daily ratings. They have convinced themselves they are some sort of patriots when it appears they are just profiteering hucksters just like the main stream media they constantly call out imo. These guys and their rhetoric are one of the reasons we can't go shoot at our leisure these days and the shelfs at Wal-mart are barren. The republicans in Congress are not going to fold on gun rights. There is enough awareness among them that a bill won't slip in unnoticed in the dark of night.
