Congratulations. Looking forward to a range report soon. What scope do you plan to use on it?
Don't know, might dig one of the nikons out or pull the 3x9 leopold off my 308Win. You inspired me to grab one, Bill also said the 300bo was very good too. Going to order a 10rd mag to try. Don't have one round of sp for hunting, just hp and 196gr. Sub.

I don't have any SP either, just some HP and FMJ. That HP on the HP bullets is a mighty small HP, lol. Is that taking in code or what, lol?

Glad it is working out for you. I do love mine. As I said previously I can't wait till gun season. There are a couple on Gunbroker but they are going for $700 plus. My brother has been watching them for weeks trying to get one for a decent price. I paid $599 for mine and right now that would be "decent" but it seems the word has gotten out about how accurate they are and the prices show it.
600 otd. Stole it. Deals are out there.

I had Silver Bear SP's in my SKS that hit the feed ramp, mushroomed and stopped, never making it to the ramp incline, much less up the ramp. So find a different SP other than the "Bear" brand. It's really really soft lead. I switched to Double Tap and was very much satisfied with Double Tap's polymer tipped rounds.

CZ makes a fine weapon, and fairly priced.
However I really do not agree with their chosen twist rates.
I chose my RARR chambered in 300BLK partially because of its twist rate (1:7). To make up for the slower .308" bore slower vels, the BO needs all the help it can get to pull the bullet apart at impact.
In the RARR,the 300BLK or the X39 would be (is) an excellext killer of hogs and deer at 230-250yds given the correct bullet and load.
In the 300BLK the Barnes 110gr TX-TAC (30321) is king.
Bruce and I have killed many hogs and deer using this combo. --- SAWMAN

The CZ 527 in 300 blk is a 1in 7 twist , but the 7.62 X 39 is 1 in 9.5. I some how missed that. I like to shoot heavy for caliber subsonic bullets , so the 300 BLK would be a better choice for my use.

If any one is insterested I saw a case of brass case Fed. the other day in my shop. not such what type of bullet was in them. But would consider letting some go. Call me 850-572-6611 Will not play tag. will not will not pull it out for a 100 pict.. and don't know of any thing I want to trade for . If you don't know what that fed.. brass case is reloadable. Then you provably don't need to be reloading at this time. just my 100 cents jj Sorry about the rant but I'm getting older.

I understand. I'm getting older too, and have stopped playing tag. There's someone on here now that I would not sell to if they offered me double.

    James,quit screwing around.
Put one of these on that gun. Pretty soon you will be complaining about "the guns" accuracy.
Small, light, looks good on the gun,5 different aiming points to adjust your distance/drops/aiming points to.
Mine is on my 450Bushmaster. LOVE IT !! --- SAWMAN

That 9.5 twist will be good for them bullets <125gr.
Above that,at the X39's reduced vels, will be questionable.
Ruger should have put a 8 or 8.5 twist in those guns. ---- SAWMAN
ADDED: Think about it - ->> Why did the 224Valkyrie come out with a 7 twist ???

    The 223 version is a 12 twist.
My Ruger American Ranch is marked 1 in 8 and the Ruger website lists it as 1 in 8. Note: The Ruger American Ranch is in 5.56, not 223. Perhaps you looked at another Ruger model of rifle.
