Question to the Glock guys.

My carry weapon is a Gen 3 Glock 27. I want to confirm I read correctly on this before I buy anything. Can you buy a Glock 26 Barrel and mags and just shoot 9mm from this gun? Going to stick to .40 for personal protection, but 9mm for pratice would be a whole lot cheaper.

My first thought would be that the somewhat larger bolt face of the 40 could be a problem for the extractor to grab the 9mm rim. Probably something else but it is gettin' pretty near my bed time. --- SAWMAN

.22 conversion will stretch your ammo budget MUCH further than 9mm. These kits are GREAT practice for your draw,aim,and clearing jams. The recoil is of course not the same....but everything else is.
+ you will have a very cool .22 pisol when you want one.

A Lone Wolf Brand Conversion barrel and 26 mags will work. I have the conversion barrel for my 23 and it has been spot on.

If i remember correctly, if you are talking Glock OEM parts, the slides are different based on the location/size of the extractors and barrel outside diameters, it has been eons since i looked this up so don't quote me on it. What i do remember is the ejector, which is integral to the trigger block, is unique between the 9mm and .40 S & W stock platforms.

The clock barrel does not work real good it does not fit in the slide port. But the Lone Wolf makes the barrel where it fits the slide port, and works very good, the shell on ejection does not go as far as the 40 does. I have one for my G-27 and it works very good you do have to use the 9mm mags. Just my 25 cents jj
