Question on survival training, SERE etc.

This is all on civilan level no military grade but of course with use living near coast line, the possibility of natural disaster something like a civilan SERE school or survival school has always interested me. I do have a general knowledge of survival but not at the level where I would like to be especially in an urban environment. I just don't know what to look for when seeking out places that teach this kind of stuff. To me it is great to have firearms training but I want some training (eventually when I can afford it) that employs past that. Any recommendations is great, what to look for in a class or company that teaches this. Really any advice.... Thanks.
