Is it just a water line?
What kind of line is it (what color is it) ?
    Has it been fixed?

I had a fence and deck company for years this happens all the time I would not make a clam over it but I sure as hell would have had it fixed before you got home from work it's not that hard to fix

Exactly. I had a tree and landscaping business and we would never make a claim for something as simple to fix as water lines. It would have to be something getting into several thousands of dollars before it would ever be worth filing a claim and jacking up your rates or getting dropped.

    what about the a/c?

Since the pump ran for at least an hour with no water in the system the pump and the fittings and valves are shot. It took them about an hour to dig everything out, cut and fuse the line, and then try to repressurize the system.

Per the AC tech if they would have told someone they had hit the line and let maintenance shut everything down - or let my son turn the AC off it would have just been replacing the nicked piece of hose.

Insurance rates - this company did not communicate with me at all when it happened, and now it may very well be up around a thousand to fix.
THIS is why you communicate with people. You eff up or make a legitimate mistake own up to it.
If you don't know ask, and if you screw up, own up. How hard is that?
