My company is firing 9mm cartridges at .357 Magnum power in Glock and ACP pistols. We need a president to bring leadership to the company as well as financing to sell our breakthrough development in the market. We are ready to mass produce these cartridges and firearms.

Chamber Arms Mfg. (CAM) is a Pensacola-based firearms & ammunition company. We seek to interview potential candidates as president to lead us in the transition from research and development to production including building capital and growing sales. Other positions in the company will also need filling soon after.

With unique designs in four new models of firearms, CAM requires a capital influx and experienced leadership for a successful launch. Our new president will essentially be buying into the company with either his own capital and/or investors, and then build a customer base for our products.

CAM has completed the research and development and field-testing phase of putting .357 Magnum power in standard 9x19mm cartridges and firing them in the most popular 9mm pistols with very slight modifications/customization. Our 1911s and Glock 17s fire both normal ammo as well as our proprietary, magnum-powered ammo. Our ammo (“9MAG”) can be fired interchangeably in the magazine with normal 9mm ammo, as well as +P and +P+ ammo. We also have three projects currently in development:

    1) Modifying the Sig Sauer M17 (P320) 9mm pistol to fire our .357 Magnum powered ammo.

    2) Develop an affordable .45 Super carbine using Glock 21 magazines and with a hunter’s trigger, not the heavy 8lb “clanky-anchor” trigger used in Beretta and Hi-Point carbines.

    3) Accurized 12-gauge shotgun slugs for 150+ yard bull’s eyes. These are legal .73-cal slugs hitting targets at 1,250fps+. Further, we will develop a “SuperSlug” for 200+ yard bull’s eyes.

    The winning candidate will bring
    • Leadership experience (preferably as president) of a company (preferably manufacturing)
    • The know-how to develop a sales strategy for the launch as well as the a 2-4 year plan
    • Contacts in the military
    • Deep knowledge of the firearms industry
    • Network of potential investors

    Responsibilities

Develop high quality business strategies and plans; ensure their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives; and translate into actionable steps for growth and sustainability

    • Drive organizational vision and operations strategy
    • Oversee manufacturing
    • Actively seek out and develop new opportunities for investment and revenue generation
    • Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company
    • Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission
    • Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability
    • Make high-quality investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits
    • Knowledge of and adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics
    • Ensure compliance with national and local regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary
    • Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth

    Required skills and qualifications

    • Proven experience as CEO or other executive leadership roles
    • Deep knowledge of the firearms industry
    • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
    • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles
    • Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, finance etc.
    • Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Commutable residence in the area
This is a great position for someone looking for a transition career that will blend their expertise in business leadership and knowledge of firearms with innovative ways to advance a small and growing company.

If you know a qualified candidate who would like to speak with us about this excellent opportunity, please contact Dylan O’Leary, owner, 850-748-3825

Interesting, hope you guys get something going.

What specifically do you mean by "357 Magnum Power", are we talking 125gr power or 158gr power?

What sets your cartridge apart from the 357 Sig? Which is billed as "357 Magnum Power".

ETA- watched the video on your site, 125gr at 1450FPS... nice, that's the upper end of Sig numbers, not too far behind is +P+ 9mm numbers.

Not to sound negative, but is the juice going to be worth the squeeze?

So you're asking for someone to provide money and assume the financial risk... but no response to a simple question... I don't see this going anywhere.

There is plenty of money out there and can be had easily.

Looking at the website - I have a lot of doubts. Saying no one else has the vision or has done something that is simple but not tried in 400 years makes it sound like complete BS.

Makes me wonder, if it’s so simple, why hasn’t anyone done it? Must be a reason. Not economical, not profitable, not needed or wanted maybe? Like the guy said above, is the juice worth the squeeze?

Also find it interesting they’re looking for a president. I’ve known several founders, they’re not usually the type to give up the reigns. Expecting this prospective candidate to come to the table with cash in hand…. Just sounds odd.

As an investment banker and investment advisor for the past almost 40 years, the above search is not that unusual. The need for capital to get a product into full scale production, the acknowledgement that the developers are not managers and the willingness to exchange a degree of management control and some ownership to those ends is smart. Whether "the juice is worth the squeeze" is for the investor(s) to determine.

You are the educated and experienced one here in these matters, with the economic situation today, what’s your “advice”?

Think the project has potential or can you not say in the open for professional/business/legal reasons?

I have no way of knowing if this project has potential. I haven't seen any financials, the product itself or run a market analysis. Just speaking to the OP's approach to getting the project off the ground.

I might be wrong... but sounds like 200 FPS for millions of dollars invested...

Im kinda of the mindset that if you want more power, but a more powerful chambering.

Not enough info on their website to really tell though. May be the greatest thing since sliced bread, may not. Time will tell.

My first thought is “can the guns being built today handle the increased power?”
Botique brands such as Buffalo Bore warn not to shoot their ammo in just any guns.
Some are only recommended in over-built guns such as the Ruger Redhawk.
