Looks like about 10mm short of 24. Possibly threaded.

These came from the factory with thumb hole stocks and the flash hider was spot welded on. I know, I bought one a week after the ban in '94. They are nice guns. Without the thumbhole stock it will need to have the correct amount of US made parts to be compliant. These were 762x39.
