Hello all.

My wife got excited about the Olympic Shooting sports.

Does anyone know what kind of equipment they use for the air rifle and regular rifle contests.

Also - are there any places around here that have ISSF style competition for kids?

She wants the kids to get involved! She finally believes me that shooting sports can help the kids.

I used to buy gear from Neal Stepp in Ft Worth.

It doesn't look like he is keeping his web site up. Call him. I talked to him a few weeks back.

He has (had) used rifles and pistols, in addition to new.

Olympic class rifles and pistols (.22 LR and .177 pellet) probably start new at about $2k, now.

Daisy sells good target-grade beginner airguns for a lot less. (By target -grade I mean capable of hitting the 10 "ring" every time)

CMP sells (or at least used to sell) used beginner-grade target airguns for even less.

The closest matches I know of would be CMP Anniston. There are occasionally airgun matches at Ft Benning.

Shooting Sports USA lists the matches. Click on the link shown in here

for the listing.

I've bought stuff from Champion's Choice, also. Their home page link is here and they appear to have rifles and pistols in stock:
