There is certainly a link that takes a bit of effort to ignore.

IMO, anyone that thinks $$$/government are not one and the same is not capable of rational, independent thought, or just doesn't wanna face reality. But, I could be wrong...

There's also the fact that everyone who is fighting for Allah wants a piece of the US. There's a lot of glory for them in squaring off with the big kid on the block, and they will do what they can to bring us into the fight.
