Super reliable and well built. I snagged one for $125 at a pawn shop. The value is as good as it gets.

I agree that it will be hard to beat retail price on a Maverick 88 (around $230 or so). May as well buy new. I'd definitely recommend you call around to the local gun shops first to avoid having to pay any FFL and shipping.
