Thanks.Awesome rifles as always Tackle!
In regard to the AR-18/AR-180, it was a venture by Armalite in 1963 to compete with the Colt M16/AR-15. Of course, Colt had already established dominance with the M16/AR-15 in the military market. In 1963, they came out with their first semi-auto version (SP1) for the civilian market. The Armalite AR-180 (produced from 1969-1972) had a tall mountain to climb to compete with the Colt SP1. Unfortunately for Armalite, it was too tall of a mountain as they were not set up for mass production and evidence of hand-fitting became more apparent. Fortunately, they were able to sell the production license to the AR-180 to companies in Japan (Howa) and the UK (Sterling). The AR-18/AR-180 design did have an influence on a few European companies, but it just never took off over here. Now that Brownells, in conjunction with PWS & FM Products, has revived interests in the AR-180 design with their BRN-180 line of uppers and lowers, there has been a huge demand. Some have gone as far as to replicate the AR-180 stock and handguard to adapt them to the new BRN-180. Brownells is still working on a repro AR-180 stock through B5 Systems. I tried to buy a Howa AR-180 off a guy at a gun show a few years ago, but he wanted way too much money for it.I have the backwater cousin. Love those 180's wonder why the design never caught on??
What kind of stock does the top rifle/pistol have? Where did you find it?Well, I was finally able to finish up my BRN-180S pistol build. Now, it joins its big brother.

I am.You still enjoying these BRNs?
The pistol (top) has an A3 Tactical Picatinny Modular Side Folding Arm Brace (8.65” offset) w/ Tailhook adapter with the Gear Head Works Tailhook Mod 1 Pistol Brace. What kind of stock does the top rifle/pistol have? Where did you find it?
Which do you prefer the 10.5 or 16?
Both have the TangoDown BattleGrip (BG-16).What grip is that? I like it.
Very nice. Been wanting to get one.Well, I was finally able to finish up my BRN-180S pistol build. Now, it joins its big brother.
