I can't wait. I chamber checked 300 rounds of freshly minted ammo on Monday night. Gonna charge up my camera and gopro batteries tonight and get most everything ready except loading mags. Probably do a little dry fire and reload practice on Friday night before I load up the mags. (I'm not gonna be like some people and look creepy as hell, loading mags at 6am in the Chick-Fil-A parking lot.)

We may all be crashing the IDPA match on Sunday if the weather behaves as currently predicted. Showing 80% chance of T-storms on Saturday in Vinegar Bend. Only 20% chance of rain in Cantonment on Sunday.


Of course, it's just Wednesday. We could be below freezing by Saturday.

Back when I shot IPSC (before it changed it name USPSA) we shot in all kinds of weather - lightning, tornado's, hurricane's floods. WE did not care. Of course that may explain why I am the only survivor from the original IPSC group. Everyone else was struck by lightning, sucked away by a tornado, of drowned in a flood. Still my point remains - the old days when men were manly, or electrocuted, or drowned. 'Merica

Looks like Chop, Jogan, Huk and I are all going (as long as the match isn't canceled). My truck is going back to the dealership today, and they told me they're gonna put me in an Armada, so we shouldn't have any trouble fitting all of us, plus gear. We may even have room for one or two more people, but they'll be squeezed in the back.
