Hands down the gun that makes me giggle like a little school girl every time is my M&P 15-22 with a double tap trigger. I'm thinking of suppressing it, but I think my range days will just be laughing my ass off and not shooting.

Even though they were purported to be historically inaccurate, the .58 caliber Remington Zouave (replica.) Lead was plentiful and cheap. Back in our "salad days," we molded our own Minie balls, lubricated with Crisco, and ignited Pyrodex and black powder to the point EPA (if it even existed) was probably looking for us. When I see the gray, gaunt old photos of Civil War soldiers, I still attribute their appearance to black powder smoke. I wish I still had that old rifle.

When I was a kid, my dad had a tapered barrel Ruger mk2. It was ridiculously accurate and we probably put 50k rounds through it. I got my wife a bull barrel mk3 target and it's not nearly as nice to shoot.
As I got older, it was an Colt ar-15 that had an underslung 37mm launcher on it, the only really fun part was looking at the people's expressions at the range when I'd pull it out of the case, then how fast a range employee would rush out to make sure I wasn't going to blow up stuff and only using the rifle not the launcher.
These days, it's my Blackhawk 6.5 inch 357.

Lots of .22's here. Mine was my Walther P22. My first handgun of my very own, at 35 years old. Not incredibly accurate, but it made up for that with the cool factor. Nothing was safe. Pine cones, cans, clay birds, paper targets, random items that looked at it sideways ..... You might say I had a second childhood with that pistol.
