hey, rope me into the "new blood" category!

Got the shotty ready (or at least I think so) for the side match

added the GG&G sling mount and the archangel side saddle. Now sits better when slung.

Had to modify the forearm to clear the saddle while all the way to rear. A little dremel cut and blend worked well, poly was really easy to pass through

I pulled my shotty out to see if mine contacted the side saddle since i have the same one but I guess the magpul one is smaller.

DANG IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like next month for me again. These storms are completely screwing up my shooting time!! Oh well, storms mean money for me, money means toys that go bang. What a trade off.
Everyone have fun...see you next month. (I hope)

had an awesome time! I cant think of too many other things you could do with a pistol that would equal as much fun.

Was great putting a few faces to names and seeing others I have met before.

Can't wait for next month. How about carbine side marches at every match. Shotgun never generates a good turnout, and BUG is redundant since you shoot pistol all day, plus there's the new little gun division.
I say carbine side matches every match. Just an idea. Anyone agree?

Glad you finally made it out, Kenny! Also got to meet Brucewayne and a few others off the forum. Had a blast today. Love how you had to use your brain on 2 of the stages! We need something like that at every match!!! My first 3 stages were pretty damn good, then blew it on my last stage (stage 1) by killin' a hostage and whiffing a far target with one of my shots. Might have to go back to the "long" gun for the next match...lol Great times!

Nope. I want a shotgun match every now and then. I still haven't been able to shoot a true shotgun side match.

    I saw 83 and was like.....wwuutttttttt

Yeah I woke up this morning and was really feeling it in the chest. I'm trying to get a drs. appt right now. Kind of weird that out of 40 people only a couple would bring shotguns...seeing they are generally way cheaper and more common for home defense vice an AR15 but to each their own.

An AR15 is a better home defense tool. More firepower, better ergonomics and more user friendly, and when loaded with appropriate ammo, it'll over penetrate less than buckshot or any handgun round. True story. But that's for another thread. Peace!

Oh, we will shoot a shotgun stage another time. No big deal. 37 people shooting all 4 stages and I was ready to get out the heat! Another time for the shotguns!
