Marlin guns

Has anyone heard of Marlin guns\rifles closing its doors? I got an email the other day saying they where bought out a while back along with bushmaster and other big name manufactures by some major corperation owned by George Sorows (not sure how to spell his last name) any way this guy is a multi million dollar Obama supporter and way against gun rights so his idea (according to folks like Glenn Beck) is to buy major manufactures and make guns to expensive to own. I have no idea if this is true but I was just wondering if anyone heard about Marlin closing because that would surely suck to lose a piece of american history.

I didnt hear anything about that but I know Remington bought them out some time back. The Remington Arms plant is about 5 mins from where I grew up in Ilion, NY.. I still have a few high school buddies employed by them..

Another Internet "fact" de-bunked. A lot of crap flying around the Internet. I've learned that you have to do some research before forwarding a lot of stuff.

I'm not saying that Snopes is always right, however, it's a good starting place to verify questionable Internet rumors.

I know they are all owned by "The Freedom Group" & quality control went out the door since,, compare any of these companies guns from before the buyouts & you will see the difference.
I also heard the Soros Rumour,,,,,
