Loose beavertail

I got a 1911 in a trade and beavertail is loose and to easy to engage to me anything answer will help to fix the problem

Adjust or replace the sear spring.

Ok cause if I hold it it moves side to side

If it's loose side to side then either need a new beaver tail or your tangs are out of spec. What type of 1911 is it?
