Thinning the herd. Up for sale is gently used factory built Armalite Super SASS Gen 1 chambered in .308. With very low serial number. Approx. 300rds fired. This hard to find Gen 1 Super SASS that has been discontinued. This is the commercial version of Armalite’s submission for the US govt XM110 trials; in which the SR-25 ultimately was chosen approx. 2005. The quality of the rifle is top notch and mint condition.

This AR-10 is a target “A” model that accepts SR-25 pattern magazines. I will include a new 20rd pmag, sling with 2x Armalite picatanny mounts, Odinworks harris bipod adapter and an Accu-shot monopod. The stock is a factory installed Magpul PRS. I currently have installed a new unfired Surefire 3P warcomp and can be worked in the deal or I can install the original birdcage.

Bonus, I will include the scarce/rare to find Starlight Super SASS hard case that is in mint condition and have the factory foam cut-out. This case was sold as a kit.

The rifle will NOT include the optic and rings in the pictures. The Surefire warcomp and harris bipod can be worked in the deal as needed.

Might be interested in high end trades (no hunting rifles, handguns or shotguns). Interested mostly in modern AR variant, B&T weapons and Nightforce/Leupold scopes.

Below is a video that explains in detail the parts and history of the rifle from Small Arms Solutions

Someone out there needs to buy this. I figure that most people don't know what an amazing weapon this is. Posting a picture of targets shot would give people an idea of the accuracy. If i had the money, it would be mine in a heart beat.

As per or previous conversations, these rifles are often overlooked by most as Armalite aren’t as recognized like knights armament (KAC),DD, Noveske, LMT etc today, as they were in the past. Through discussions and research on other forums, rumors are that they hit every check mark with their submission, but Armalite didn’t win the XM110 rifle gov’t contract in the early-mid 2000’s due to their manufacturing facilities might have not been large enough to fulfill the requirements of the gov’t order. So they offered this Super SASS version to stateside agencies and oversees.

Cool thing is on this rifle is the adjustable gas block for suppressed use. I haven’t tried it since I finally got some of my suppressors approved in the last 8 months and has been back seat to my KAC rifles. I can say it out shoots 2 of the 3 KAC rifles I have. I have to put it up against my KAC Match rifle I acquired recently from James (TackleberryMCS) on the forum.

If it doesn’t sell, I plan on just shooting it. Below is the best I’ve shot out of her. I used Hornady 168gr BTHP match at 100yds. Some of the best groups I’ve ever shot. Felt like I was shooting one of my .22 match rifles at 25-50yd.

Nice, does this one take ONLY the Armalite Mags. like all their other AR-10's ?
Have you ever "stretched" it's legs out , say 600 and beyond ?

It’s the A model that takes non-M14 modified mags. Takes SR-25 pattern mags.

The B model takes the M14 modified mags.

I’ve shot steel out to 634yds at element training complex no problem. Didn’t do the 1000yd due to being closed the last time I took it out
