where do I sign up?.. as far as things that make you go hmmm.. how about Escambia county's public safety building's 300,000.00 dollar security fence.. the county has secrets??? exactly who are they protecting themselves from?

the following was lifted from an article posted last year

    http://www.pnj.com/story/news/2014/06/12/public-safety-fence/10353173/

The construction of the $300,000 fence was funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a county spokesperson said. The 1,024-foot-long, 8-foot-tall fence is designed to meet Homeland Security requirements and will allow county officials to lock down the facility in the event of a security threat.
The Public Safety building houses the Emergency Operations Center, the headquarters for emergency response during hurricanes, floods, severe storms and other disasters.

A county spokesperson said it was critical the facility remain operational during an emergency and that the fence was built as a contingency to keep county officials and leadership safe in a worst-case scenario.

The spokesperson said that because the fence comprises part of the county's "security system plan," Florida statutes prevent the county from disclosing precise details on when the fence would be utilized.

    Obviously, our local FEMA camp.

On the face of it, I can see an emergency operations center being well protected as long as that's what it is, not if it's going to be a garrison. Seems to me communications and coordination might be a target for anything from terrorism to plain old mob hysteria.

Do you feel that it might be seized for law enforcement or military use?

Ok, chew on this for a bit...
Our boys and girls, God bless them, trained and talented as they are, cannot effectively defeat a bunch of barefoot goat suckers.
Why is this? Guerrilla warfare. Much of the same that would be encountered if they were turned on the civilian population, except that our population happens to be the most highly armed the world has ever seen, and there are a lot more vets than there is active duty. Put your ego aside and chew on that for a minute.

    1. They are quite a bit more than a bunch of barefoot goat suckers.

    2. We did defeat them. The fact that they still exist does not mean we are losing or have lost. The politicians just don't know how to let a win be a win. They have to FIX everything. We destroyed the enemy in Iraq and Afghanistan and had both places relatively stable. Heck, Afghanistan still is, as far as the local people still living in the 1300's are concerned.

Just because the news people and our politicians think we lose everything, doesn't mean we do. None of them are ever doing any of the fighting.

Now to Dan's point on guerrilla warfare, if you want to win against a guerrilla army, read General Petraeus's book on how to conduct counterinsurgency. Once the commanders in Iraq started following his book, we shut them down and it was all quiet until the politicians shit all over everything.

    But...

The guerrilla war that would take place here is not like the guerrilla wars anyone has ever fought. You'd first be starting with a large percentage of your fighting force having strong sympathies for the "guerrillas". On top of that, the guerrillas have small arms similar or better in quality and have at least as much training in their use as the military. The leaders of said guerrilla army will be vets who have been fighting against insurgencies for well over a decade. Our infrastructure and terrain is like none other in the world. Different regions are like being in different countries as far as terrain goes. To fight against the citizenry you'd have to be willing to fight at least four or five different wars at once!

This is why it won't be a frontal assault. It'll be slow until the day they think we've totally fallen asleep and are weak enough.

I think our puny semi auto arms, single family homes not a team would be of little use against the modern Military arms...like why fight you just mortar or blow your house up. Few of us would be much of a fight against an armored vehicle coming thru your house with a team of warfighters attacking.

Actually we started doing better in Iraq when we bribed (l mean put on the payroll) the Sons of Iraq (AKA The Awakening) and the wheels fell back off when we tried to quit paying them, and pass them off to the (already corrupt) Iraqi government.

But this thread has taken an unnecessary turn towards seriousness. Can we all just get our Jade Helm panic back on please?

    Thank you.

I will be the first to openly state it... BRING IT. America is based upon freedom fighters who are not afraid of death to protect liberty. (American Revolution) Yes, generations have become increasingly soft, but I wouldn't want to be an invading country. I have been told it is difficult to fight a predator drone. Yes it is, I agree. But in foreign conflicts, you are generally not within walking distance tot he airfield. We will find a way and we will ALWAYS be the home of the brave.

I wonder what the lane closures are all about. Probably so they can move all the military equipment in.

Pentagon Begins Preparing For ‘Mass Civil Breakdown’ With Illuminati Minerva Research Initiative
What is the Minerva Research Initiative?

The Guardian UK today is reporting that the Pentagon, under the authority of Commander-in-chief Barack Obama, has been bankrolling detailed studies from various universities to learn how the military might best respond to a civilian uprising.

It’s called the “Minerva Research Initiative,” and its a US Department of Defense (DoD) research programme that is funding universities to model the dynamics, risks and tipping points for large-scale civil unrest across the world, under the supervision of various US military agencies. The multi-million dollar program is designed to develop immediate and long-term “warfighter-relevant insights” for senior officials and decision makers in “the defense policy community,” and to inform policy implemented by “combatant commands.”” The Guardian reported.

Now here is where it gets really interesting

In short, Obama has ordered the Pentagon to spend millions to study how best to prepare for a mass civilian uprising within its own borders. It stands to reason that the information gleaned from such a study could just as easily be applied to rolling out a mass military-governmental takeover of same said citizenry. Obama is very much like Hitler in that he is so sure of his success that he doesn’t really bother to cover his tracks.
