Purchased 04/2022 from collector and friend. The information provided is the information I received from the seller.

The Inland 09-44 has been graded to be authentic by markings - all World War II except for the new strap
The Barrel Gaged at 0.65 - less than <1 - spreadsheet available to view rifle grade
The Wood of the M1 I would rate as very good - man hours went into cleaning

This is a very nice Inland M1 Carbine that has been meticulously cleaned by an avid M1 collector. it's available to see and inspect locally

I have 350 rounds I will include as well

All guns turned in to government got them that is why ww2 originals are valued by collectors

Without knowing the serial number I can't say if the late features are original or not. However, more likely than not the carbine has been rebuilt. If it were a WWII "original" (1942-late 1944) it would have features such as flat bolt, high wood stock, two rivet handguard, type 1 or 2 barrel band (no bayonet lug)...to name a few. In late 1944 and 45 those features were being phased out and production rifles included bayonet lugs and adjustable sights. I would actually argue that finding an original late war carbine is harder than finding an original earlier one. There are many ways to tell if a carbine has been upgraded. First is by serial number. A 1,000,000 range is vastly different from a 6,000,000 range. Second is by looking for additional stake marks on by the rear sight. But to say that this gun is not original is impossible without knowing the serial number. From looking at the pictures I would classify this carbine as a "shooter"...but even shooters are $1,000 plus depending on overall condition. Just my .02 worth, Chip
