My wife is wearing that P238 hybrid right now, and it's looking very promising.
I'm wearing this 4" carbon fiber bad boy. The design is 2-3" wider and 1" lower than my leather 5" holster, which IMO reduces the felt weight by a quarter, and is less top heavy when I loosen the belt by a notch.
The man definitely knows what he's doing when designing, and the speed clips he's using are brilliant. No more having to nearly take my pants off just to take the holser off.

    Absolute perfection.
This morning I headed back out to the compound for some tweaks. While I really really loved the design, it was made using a Sig drone, and as we know, Sig makes funky tall and blocky slides, which was causing a bit of a retention issue with my Bobtail.
John took care of it and the end result is absolute perfection. Watching the man work his magic, it's clear that there is more art to the craft than one might imagine. This holster allows me to carry a 1911 with a full size grip OWB, under a thin tee and I can put it on and take it off with extreme ease. It rides high and tight with a 20 degree forward cant and the clips sit wider than anything else on the market, making it feel much lighter than it actually is. It also now has adjustable retention which works perfectly and the vertical profile has been dramatically reduced, particularly at the bottom.
I've seen many of John's holsters, and I honestly think that this one could very well be the best he's done so far in terms of not only aesthetics, but also in meeting the criteria for a very specific application within very well defined parameters. If you carry a 1911, ask Jogan for the Dan1612 special, you won't be disappointed.

Indeed! Low profile, and maximum weight distribution. Not to mention excellent retention and ease of removal. In fact, I took it off without even having to stand up. That last feature will come in very handy not only throughout the day when coming in and out of the house or office, but also when driving to a place where you may choose to disarm.

It slides between 3 and 4 o clock depending on whether I'm walking around or driving for extended periods, but mostly about 330.
You would think that the 20 degree angle would make it have to go further back to get a straight draw, but the actual height of it makes it so the draw still gives a good, straight line draw (meaning, not bending the wrist to match the angle of the grip).

Bypass the website too hard to drive traffic to new site.. Do a booth at the shotshow. Back in the day we did the Sema show. Make better connections for materials, stocking dealer or better pricing. Target established vendors to sell for you. Put a wilson logo on the gorgous holster of dans.....and who knows.
You get a shot at buyers from around the world They sell, you dropship. Get em john!!!!!

Tom, that's actually MK1, MK2 has adjustable retention and and less material below the muzzle. Notice the extra material in the first pic, just below my thumb:
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1457835035.291481.jpg
Is gone and perfectly fitted and blended on MK2:

Interesting. I may have to give this design a try. Carrying at 3-4 with a strong forward cant I've always found it's like I have to almost dislocate my shoulder to get a good grip for the draw. Kind of an awkward motion.

Everything is a compromise, you do have to reach high, but it works beautifully, no dislocation necessary. Lol. PM me and I'd be happy to let you try it.

I've got an appendix holster he custom built with some tweaks I wanted that turned out great so I have no doubt this one works great. Dude builds a pretty nice deck as well.

He also frames a house really well.
Anyway, this is my draw (sorry for the garb), but assuming you have a normal range of motion, it's good to go.

Looks like it sits in pretty tight to the body. I ordered one of a similar design but the butt of the gun flopped out a little far for lack of a better term. Would be nice to be able to effectively conceal a full size gun in owb with just a t-shirt.

I can't imagine where you'd find one of a similar design since this is way out there as far as the custom points of height and mount width. John has never made a higher holster aside from one made for a high handle chopper rider.
I will say that a full size steel gun should be about 1" lower to eliminate the flop you speak of. The best part is that the man will build ANYTHING you want, but it would help to have a good idea of what it is that you want. My 5" steel gun rides an inch lower in center of gravity, but no lower in profile and works great, but I'll be selling that holster due to the inability to QD, which is essential for my needs.
Much like my beloved 1911s, these Emerald Coast Concealment holsters are 100% custom. That's where the true value and inherent product differentiation earn it a very solid place in the local market. You really can't go wrong, you're welcome to wear mine for a couple of days to see what you like and don't like and see what features would make it your 100% satisfaction EDC holster.

Well similar in that it was an owb kydex holster to try and carry concealed. Kt Mech I think was the brand. It's in the drawer with about 30 others...lol.
