Any body have any repair work done on a High Point 9mm?

I purchased a few of them used and today one of them locked up on safety. I pulled the grips off and noticed a small spring that runs from the clip ejector to a small hook that runs under the slide is hanging up.

I was able to get the hook bar back down and replaced the grip.

Worked the slide about 5 times and it hung up again. I'm no gunsmith but I think the spring has lost the tension.

I understand High Point warranties for life no matter who purchased it new.

I noticed Buck & Bass are High Point dealers, Will they do the repairs ?

Or do I have to ship it to High Point? If I have to ship it do I need to have it shipped by a dealer or can I FedEx it?

Never had to deal with repairs as I always owed wheel guns that very rarely broke.

Thanks guys any help is appreciated.

They're warranted forever no matter how many owners. Contact
    Beemiller, Inc.

They will either talk you through it and send parts if needed or tell you how to send it to them for a free repair.

You bought more than 1??? Normally they are very reliable, must have a ton of rds down the tube. Send it in let them deal with it, they typically will rework or go over the entire gun, not what is just wrong with it.

    Thank fv22,
    Shawn I'll call you.
Frank , yeah I picked up 2 of the C-9 , and another 9mm carbine all through trades right before the shit hit the fan. I thought having 3 of the same make guns and calibers was a good idea. I was told all of them were in good shape. I just pulled them out of the safe for the wife and I to carry until I can afford some better firearms . I was working the slide on one and it jammed up. Now I'm not so sure about them. Might have 2 pull out the smith & Wesson 357 mag I know I can depend on that one. It's just bulky to carry in the shoulder harness ..

Hey other than ugly and heavy there is nothing wrong w a C9, very reliable and on target. Personally I would send them both in to HP and tell them to go through them. Very good CS as far as I hear. I read some glowing reviews and reports on them s if that is what you got I would not worry about it after sending them in.

Thanks Frank that's a good idea. I was sorta hoping they had someone in the area certified to do repairs but if I have to send them out that's what I'll have to do. I'm hoping I can send and receive them back myself without having to pay for someone else to do any paperwork .

Yeah I'll make a call tomorrow and see what they say. The wife wants a Ruger
9mm raspberry. She may get her wish sooner then I want to.

Contacted High Point this morning . They had a tech call me back.
I explained the problem and he told me he'd send me out a spring kit and suggested I try replacing that first .
My eyesight sucks but I'll try it. If that doesn't fix the problem I'll have to arrange to ship the firearm to them.

If I do that I'll just send them both of the C-9s I own and have them go through both of them.

Tech stated this isn't an on going problem so I'll have to wait & see.

Yeah I hope it's the easy fix the tech thinks it is. Only thing that might hold me back some is at close range I have blurry vision. But maybe the wife can see it. She's not to bad at mechanical repairs as long as she listens to what I tell her to do.
