pretty sure that's not a desirable lawn grass, looks like a weed to me...I'll try to verify and identify tomorrow. Can anyone identify this type of grass ?
Thanks for any help I am not a yard guy at all and need to replace some spots in my yard .
The lady at the County Extension thinks it is centipede and the roots are not penetrating the ground because the soil is compacted and the lawn needs to be aerated. She said you should take a sample of the grass to the extension office or she is at the Navarre Library every Wednesday from 9 until 1.pretty sure that's not a desirable lawn grass, looks like a weed to me...I'll try to verify and identify tomorrow.
That's what I have been seeing - the ground here compacts too fast and the grass dies out.The lady at the County Extension thinks it is centipede and the roots are not penetrating the ground because the soil is compacted and the lawn needs to be aerated. Hope this helps.
