Help / Advice Needed. I've always been a handgun fanatic.
I've recently started getting more into rifles. I recently bought a Ruger 10/22 Charger & bought a Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle.
What is the best Scope & sight that I can buy that would fit BOTH of these firearms? I'd like to buy one that fits both & doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
    Thanks in advance!

When it comes to scopes you'll need a scout scope ( extended eye relief) for the Ruger, and I'm not sure how you would use a scope on the 10/22 as shown. Pistol scope, maybe.......... You could go with a red dot or holographic sight, but if your intent is one sight shared by both rifles, remember you have different calibers so different point of impact; you'll have to reset the sight when you move it.

I'm not a serious gun snob but my gut turned reading this. Man, I wouldn't use the same scope, one is a rimfire rifle which means you're playing 1on1 basketball with Jordan and Webster.

Your charger at 200yds using 40gr ammo will have dropped 42"-57" inches (depending on what you're shooting). The mini 14 will be maybe a 3" drop at 200 yds. The ballistics couldn't be more opposite. Personally, I'd save my money. Optics are equally if not more important than the rifle. You'll be short-changing yourself of both rifles capabilities using the same optic.

If you're on a budget, throw a cheap BARSKA on your Charger and save for good glass on your Mini. Hell, I bet this forum has a cheap scope someone is willing to give you for free or next to free.
I think I have this somewhere, if I can find it I'll give it to Ya for the cost of shipping. Will look this weekend

This one's easy. But you will need two scopes. Just get a decent 3-9x scope with long eye relief. Slap it on the mini-14 and zero it at 50 yds. That way you are dead on at 50 and 200 yards and at worst only off 1.5 inches anywhere in between. Any cheap red dot will do for the charger, if the target is far enough away that you need magnification you need to set the charger down and pick up the mini 14.

Id would buy a primary arms red dot for the 22lr and a scout scope for the ranch rifle. Like clay said way different ballistics.

    Yep.
