Just finished a bowl of my wife's chili and it is my favorite receipt I have tried. This is a simple fool proof chili that you can teach a kid to make. We do it in the crock pot in the morning and let it go all day. You can adjust the receipt to your liking with other spices or sausage to kick it up a notch. We prefer a less spicy chili and this fills the bill.

Prep time is about 10 minutes, and if you put your crock pot on high it will be ready to eat in about 30 minutes. If you put your crock on low, it will be ready in 4-6 hours.

    Servings: (8) 1 Cup Servings

    Ingredients

    1 Onion, Coarsely Chopped
1 1/2 lb Ground Chuck Beef
    3 tablespoons chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 (10.75-oz) can condensed tomato soup
    1 (14.5-oz) can diced tomatoes/sweet onions (undrained)
1 (10-oz) can milder diced tomatoes/green chiles (undrained)
1 (16-oz) can chili beans in mild sauce (undrained)
1 (15-oz) can black beans (drained)

    Prep

    *Chop onion; divide in half.

    Steps

Preheat large saucepan on medium-high 2-3 minutes. place beef, chili powder, seasoned salt, pepper, and one-half of the chopped onions in the pan; cook 4-5 minutes, stirring to crumble meat, or until meat is brown and no pink remains.
    Place in crock pot.
Stir in remaining ingredients, including remaining one-half chopped onions. Bring to a boil, stirring often.
Reduce heat to low; cook and stir every 30 minutes to blend flavors. Enjoy

We serve it with saltine crackers or Fritos in a bowl with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream dollops on top.
