I won't tell you to drop your favorite gun magazine. I am going to give you a great info and reading site that you can view for free. You can member up if you want but I never get through all the free read side as there are hundreds of articles! Rookie, XX Ring Shooter or builder: you will learn something every time you go there.
Before you click the link be advised the link puts you in the "rifle section" from that page look at the top red text for all the different sections and there are plenty. Scroll the rifle section or click something else. The reason I put you there is because the main/home page looks a bit weak. I assure you there is great info here in plain terms that you don't hear from gun writers whose income is the advertisers.
