Have you tried the mini-shells? Almost no kick in a Yildiz, even with the barrel cut off to be even with the stock when folded.

Good idea but those are hard to come by. I’d like to get him into shooting trap/skeet. Thinking a 22” youth pump would be best.

Try chamber adapters for shooting pistol calibers in a shotgun. Can always use 22lr shotshells or 38 Special shotshells with a chamber adapter in a shotgun to get the same shotgun effect with near zero recoil. Pistol caliber shotshells come in a lot of calibers
